  • Never click on the link provided in an email. Always go directly to the website directly through your internet browser.

  • If you use a public computer, never save passwords or user id's. If others use your home computer, consider using the same approach.

  • If you suspect you may have become a victim, contact you bank and one of the three major credit bureaus: equifax.com, experian.com, or transunion.com

  • You can report questionable emails at ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/idtheft/ or your local law enforcement agency.
